I have ThinkPad P53S with Windows 11 Pro for workstation. I have a problem with Biometric, so the Camera and fingerprint are not working properly. I tested the hardware, and it is working fine. The only thing I can find is a problem with TPM that requires an update, and there is none. What seems strange is the last update of BIOS (so TPM) was done in April 2022, and everything works fine. In July 2022, the problem starts. I tried all the steps described here but nothing is working. Any suggestions? (Not reset everything)
Fingerprint reader not working on Windows 11: "This option is currently unavailable"
I recently got a Dell Inspiron with Windows 11 preloaded. The fingerprint reader was working fine at first, but now it appears to not be working with windows hello. The option to add a finger or remove the fingerprint are greyed out and not clickable.
I've seen posts about this issue in Windows 10, but the fixes aren't working for me.

2022-08-17T20:25:19+00:00 Hi Carlo T,
Thank you for sharing the helpful tips.
I have a Lenovo Yoga 520 which had finger Print sensor and used to work fine.
However, when I updated to Windows 11 through system updates, it now says "This option is currently unavailable, we couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello Fingerprint".
I tired following the steps and updating the drivers and restarting the system, but it didn't help.
My system manufacturer is Lenovo and the System Type is 81C8.
Could you please help me restore this option.
This was the primary reason I bought this laptop despite it seemed a little expensive.
Thanks
Sohaib
