In Microsoft Start, how can I be banned for violating guidelines if I've never commented?

I had the same experience just now. I've never posted anything and went to make 1st post ever and now i'm banned before even making any post. Come on Microsoft....don't be the company everyone wants to avoid at all costs.

I did that as well, trying to comment for the first time ever, and it stated I was blocked for commenting (that I violated their guidelines) when I have no history or log of comments that would do such.

What’s more disturbing is how Microsoft never replied back above after over a month. No answer. No service. And I thought Apple’s news reader constantly begging for you to join Apple News was bad.

All I know is if you treat your customers like garbage they probably won’t come back again. I gave Microsoft Start a chance. They blew it by banning me for doing nothing.

I have this issue with my new account too... But.. I've discovered it only applies to certain articles (ones involving bitcoin usually).

This seems to indicate that certain articles have controlled commenting sections, probably because they are fake-news/propaganda.... and they say social media spread fake news, haha what a joke.

I wish i had an answer for you but only empathy. I too joined only to be told I was banned for violating guidlines as of that minute and I had never even attempted to comment on anything (until now).

What really ticks me off though is how offensive it is to be accused of any of the guidelines especially when you have to pay Microsoft for the privilege.
