Random Freeze and Unresponsiveness [Windows 10 20H2]

I recently updated to Windows 10 20H2 from 2004. Since then I have been experiencing random freezes, lock-ups, and unresponsiveness. I could be watching a video and the video would pause, the touchpad won't respond, touch won't work, and the power key won't sign me off. The only option I am left with is to press and hold the power button to force-restart the laptop.

I am using Lenovo 920 with i7 8th gen 512 SSD and 16 GB of RAM.

Please, send help.

Same. For the longest time I thought it was a hardware issue and I've spent a lot of money on my laptop trying to fix it. But it's not. After seeing so many complains about this and Microsoft hasn't done anything about this is really frustrating. I've been dealing with this issue for over a year now since Windows version 1909. Their updates keep breaking one thing after another. Windows 10 by far is the worst OS I've ever used.

Having same problem. System had been rock solid stable with Win10 version 2004, installed 20H2 update and the next morning I walked into my machine having completely locked up. Nothing helpful in the system logs to indicate the cause. I let it go and 2 weeks later, same thing. Hard locked while the system was idle overnight - nothing in the system logs. I just rolled back to version 2004 today, so we'll see if that fixes the issue or not.

I'm having the same annoying problem on my work computers, they will randomly stop responding to the mouse.  I've found that pressing Control-Alt-Delete and then pressing Cancel will sometimes get it working again.

same here. first i thought it might be a hardware problem, because i bought my new pc 2 months ago, i'm almost asking for a refund , but now, i found this topic with so many people with this kind of problem... i'm begining to think that's a windows 10 update problem...
