cannot rename bluetooth device on Win 11
I am unable to change the name of my bluetooth ear buds. I have tried the control panel/hardware and devices/ properties but there is no "bluetooth" tab or option to rename. I am using Win 11 Home Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621. Please help.

2023-11-15T04:52:11+00:00 Disconnecting and reconnecting is tricky when you have 2 devices of the same name. So for simplicity, and credit to Ionuț-Alexandru Popa at binaryfork_ and to Steve Flower, here are the steps that works for me:
- Pair the device
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth and devices > View more devices
- Scroll down to 'More devices and printer settings' towards the bottom and click it
- Right-click the device and choose 'Properties', then the 'Bluetooth' tab
- Edit the name and click OK
- Restart bluetooth. You'll see the new names

MS - it really shouldn't be this hard to do something so simple. Please, in one of your next updates, could you add this to the main Bluetooth options.

2023-10-21T20:01:01+00:00 After wasting time checking lots of unhelpful advice, I found a solution thanks to Ionuț-Alexandru Popa at binaryfork_. Here's a summary:
- Pair the device (if not already paired)
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth and devices > View more devices
- Scroll down to 'More devices and printer settings' (near the bottom of the window): (this is the crucial step that most of the unhelpful advice misses)
- Right-click the device and choose 'Properties', then the 'Bluetooth' tab
- Edit the name and click OK
- Disconnect the device then reconnect it (this is important to prevent the device name reverting to the default)
This is the one right here, thanks
