I am unable to change the name of my bluetooth ear buds. I have tried the control panel/hardware and devices/ properties but there is no "bluetooth" tab or option to rename. I am using Win 11 Home Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621. Please help.

When I tried it, it popped up a dialog saying "Renaming device failed." :-(

When I run the command "Get-PnpDevice -Class Bluetooth", the InstanceID column is truncated and only shows the first 10 characters or so and then an ellipsis "...". So it's impossible to see the actual InstanceID.

Not a single suggestion here has worked for me. All the multiple secret & hidden ways to set a name to a pair of Bluetooth ear buds, and nothing works. Nice job Microsoft.

THANK YOU. I do not like the Windows 11 Settings app, and I'm so pleased that there is a way around it. Is there a way to move this reply higher in the queue?
