Printer keeps going "offline" Windows 11

I wonder if the issue with a lack of response here isn't that the opening subject line is a bit confusing. I arrived here as the issue I have is that the PC / Windows 11 THINKS the printer is offline but it actually isn't! In fact, I spent the best part of my day trying all the HP solutions only to discover the reason I couldn't get the printer Online was because it actually always was online. It's just my PC thinks it's off.

What I found was the PC thinks the printer is offline every time the PC goes to 'sleep'. I've pinned the Settings menu to the PC task bar so I can open it up every time I go in and I see the Bluetooth & Devices menu and at the very top and it tells me the status of the printer. If it says Offline, nothing I do will get the PC to recognise it's online (which it is) but if I click the 'Run the Troubleshooter' button, the troubleshooter checks the spooler for a minute or so and the printer status switches to Idle (Online). Interestingly, the troubleshooter gives me a message saying 'No error found' but nevertheless this is the only thing I've found that 'fixes' the problem. Of course, I'm doing this EVERY time I want to print so it's hardly a fix...

This occurred for me when I installed a new router so I've got to the point where I think I'm going to have to find out how to completely deinstall the printer and install again from scratch.

I have the same problem. My printer won't print without wifi, it says it's "Offline". I've tried your solution " click Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanner > Choose your printer and click Open print queue. Under Printer, please ensure "Use Printer Offline" is not selected. " But when I open the print queue and select the "Printers" it only gives me a drop down w/ 3 choices with checkboxes "OneNote(Desktop", "Microsoft print to PDF", and "EpsonD88DAT (ET-2760 Series)". The Epson is my printer, but if I check the box or don't nothing else comes up and with both choices, my printer won't print unless connected to the internet. I need to be able to print even if not on the internet. Windows 11

I have two printers and two computers on my home network. About two-three months ago I found that after I power down my computer at night and boot up the next day, one of the printers, a late model Brother inkjet, remains off-line. The other, an Epson photographic printer, remains online. I've followed all advice found here and elsewhere, and nothing works. I am confident it comes from a Microsoft update but don't know which one. Am currently running Win 11 V. 23H2 (OS build 22631.3591). Both of my printer drivers are the latest.

Maybe Microsoft should us AI to find out where the problem is?

I have the same problem, very frustrating. I was blaming the printer until I read this page. Printer works perfectly fine from my I phone and my I pad. Thank goodness. I uninstalled the spools etc as was a suggested from this page. Worked great for 4 days, turned it on today, and if was "offline" not a good way to start the morning. Hopefully Microsoft reads these messages, and corrected this very annoying error in their system.
