Printer keeps going "offline" Windows 11

My printer has worked fine until a month or two. Since then it keeps going offline. I have updated software drivers etc. I need to poke around with troubleshooters etc every time to get it to work. It's then fine for that session but the problem comes back every time i turn it off. Is there any solution to this?

    I am having the same issue. I have reinstalled HP Smart and the printer and I was able to scan once and now it is back to unavailable.

    Same problem as every body else,, any real solutions, seems like a bug from an update or something as this was not the prior behavior..

    I have the same problem with two printers and a scanner. They just disconnect and require reinstallation to get working again. Very irritating. ALso just started after years of no problem.

    Turns out it was the Norton 360 Firewall. I was able to fix it by adding the IP address of my printer to the Trusted devices in Norton.

    Microsoft is like mold. It eventually takes control over everything; causes equipment, computers and software to falter or stop working completely. Then, they take away the ability for us to change settings to get things working again. Their 'support' suggestions never work. A Windows environment is NOT for the workplace, or anyone with computer knowledge beyond pushing the ON button, for that matter. Imagine if they had control over our vehicles!

    Is there a virus worse than the Microsoft Virus?!
