How to Unlock a Device Locked Using Find my Device in the Microsoft Account

I have a Windows 11 laptop. I inadvertently locked the laptop when I logged into my Microsoft Account and it showed the device was located in a different part of the Country from where I am located. After locking the device, I realized it was my personal laptop (in my possession, not where it was shown to be on the map). I am now trying to unlock it but cannot locate anywhere in my online Microsoft Account where to do so. My user pin and fingerprint aren't being recognized. Can anyone help?

There is only one right answer on this forum and the answer above is it.

My issue stemmed from using Microsoft find my phone and I locked my surface pro w/ windows 11. These steps can be a pain but they do work.

Couple key notes that may only pertain to my device.

Make sure when you load hive, you are in the C directory.

Don’t forget to click sign in options and use the password you normally would use for logging into your device managed Microsoft account.. kinda like the one you used to lock the device in the first place.
I'm stuck with 5 though the keyname 1234 doesn't work, what to do next.
