I have tried this and it did not make a difference.
GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.
My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!
End.

2023-04-09T02:31:48+00:00 Dear Roy
Microsoft, unfortunately, does not seem to be engaging to address the issue. However, what some of us seem to have found is that if you change your computer's settings to print using a wifi connection with your printer, and disabling the USB connection between your computer and your printer, you will no longer experience the eSCL etc. issue.
So, this assumes your computer has a connection to the internet through wifi in your home. If this is the case, then:
- You need to be able to connect your computer to your printer using a wifi connection.
and then
- You need to be able to remove the printer connection setting on your computer that directs the computer to use the USB cable to connect to the printer.
This might be different depending on which brand of printer is being used, but we can give it a try...
Type "printers and scanners" into your computer's search bar at the bottom of the screen. Then select the "Printers and Scanners system settings" option. Here, you should see your printer brand listed. Ideally, you'll have an option that notes your printer make-and-model followed by the notation,"(networked)". IF this is the case, then left-click on that, and then select "Set as default". Then unplug the USB cable that runs from your computer to your printer. (Also, if there is another option that notes your printer make-and-model, but does not have the "networked" notation, left-click that, and then select "Remove". But only do this is you've been able to Set the "networked" option as default.) This should fix the problem, as we seem to think the issue is related to the USB connection.
However, if you do not see your make-and-model with a "networked" notation, or the steps above don't seem to follow with what you see, don't remove anything. You need to figure out, or have Canon explain to you, how to connect your computer to your printer with wifi, and then follow the steps I've listed, above.
Sorry I can't be of more help. I don't have a Canon, so not sure what your specific settings are.
Good luck.

2023-03-20T17:18:32+00:00 This isn't just a Windows 11 problem. I have it on a wi-fi Windows 10 and a desktop USB Windows 11 to Epson WF 4740.

2023-03-14T18:45:06+00:00 Yes. The same issue here. Only since I've installed Windows 11.
Anyone has a solution yet?
