GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.

My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

End.

I have a Brother MFC-L37500CDW multi-function printer/scanner. Was working fine. Upgraded to Windows 11 and now whenever it wakes up from sleeping, it prints a 2-line page saying:

    Get /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1

    Host: Localhost

Uninstalled Printer, reinstalled -- no change

Updated printer firmware -- no change

Switched USB cable to another USB port -- no change

From what I have seen on multiple forums, this is happening with multiple printers and multiple brands. The only constant is they are all connected via USB and all started happening when upgraded to Windows 11.

I'm having the same issue with my Epson ET-3710 printer. When Windows wakes up my printer starts printing the above message. Unfortunately, the print head goes back and forth and it continues. The only way I can stop it is to print out a "Test Page" and the message will be printed on the top of the page then the test page is printed below it. Printer is okay until Windows goes back to sleep and when it wakes up I go through the same thing again. I need help from Windows with this issue.

    I have the same issue.

I checked your "fix", my computer was already set correctly, and it is still getting this message.

    PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE.

    Very annoying.

Causes you to print thigs twice as the first page has the 2-line scanner status message, so wasting lots of paper.

This definitely is a windows 11 problem.

There was NO issue until the day after my upgrade to windows 11.

Please fix this. It's certainly wasting a lot of paper.

My connection to my EPSON WORKFROCE PRO printer is through a USB cable.

    Please fi SOON.

    Thanks,,

    Delores

I have the same problem with my Epson XP-7100 clicking and then printing out numerous pages of GET/eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1. I did the Win +R and the Win +S procedures and it says that my printer is working properly. This is a new Wndows 11 issue that needs fixed by Microsoft. Please advise how this is being corrected.

Have you installed the full feature software from Epson for your model and followed the promts to connect your printer?

Its not an MS or win problem, its a user problem with an incorrect installation of their third party hardware.

By default win 11 does not update drivers

I have both Epson and HP printers running with no issues on both win11 & win10, wireless & usb
