It seems different things are working for different people. I haven't seen "Get /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1:1 Host: localhost" since deleting the HP software from my computer. My printer is an Epson. My computer is still running Windows 10.
GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.
My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!
End.

2024-06-24T13:47:17+00:00 I disabled HP Print Scan Doctor Service and as soon as I plugged my USB back in, it wasn't 10 minutes later it printed again. Wifi is the answer for me.

2024-06-24T12:54:25+00:00 by going into "services.msc" and disable anything HP related service. For me it was disabling "HP Print Scan Doctor Service" fix my issue with USB connection.
Disable "HP Print Scan Doctor Service" in services and immediately notice no printer chatter
Between the printer and computer when using USB connection and no more printing of “GET /ESCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1 Host: localhost” on first page.
Suggestion 1) Disable any HP or other manufacturer services
- On the keyboard press Windows Key +R
- Type in services.msc
- Find any other manufacturer service and disable them. (HP Print Scan Doctor Service, HP Network Devices Support)

2024-06-21T12:55:16+00:00 This does not fix the issue.
Only uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling using wifi connection solves the issue. It appears that when you use a USB connection is when the message prints upon wake up.

2024-06-21T12:52:54+00:00 I think it was an update that caused the trouble because I’m still running Windows 10 and was getting the same printed message. I finally solved it by uninstalling and reinstalling my printer drivers (Brother & Epson) using only the wifi and mobile print features. None of my printers are on USB and the problem has been solved.
