    I don't remember exactly what I did, but I didn't pay. I kept going for the free advice, but I told them I was under warranty. This is a Microsoft/HP problem and they should do right by the customers.

    The only advice I can give is what I did - I went to the HP website and asked for help. The assistant did everything for me.

    Solution is simple.

    Just select the Update driver then select from drivers from my computer,

    and use the High Definition Audio driver.

    Done.
