This worked for me. Thank you.
Win 11 ver. 24H2 causing Brother scanning driver install to fail. How to fix?
Hi All,
I have a Brother DCP-7065DN multi-function machine, connected to my Windows 11 desktop computer. I was having some problems with a label printer and pursuant to that I disinstalled the Brother software and re-installed it. Since the re-install, the Brother printer driver installed but the scanner driver installation failed. I've tried multiple times.
Brother has noted this as a problem with Windows 11 Version 24H2. (See attached link.)
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks.
Nancy

2025-03-22T14:44:09+00:00 As a follow-up to my original posts for a J5855DW MFC:
- Microsoft released updated drivers last week for scanning for my MFC.
- Yesterday, I saw an updated software package on the Brother Website. I successfully installed the full feature package with all features,
today and all is well.
Note: this was a clean install on a fully updated Windows 11 machine. Success at last!

2025-03-18T17:03:34+00:00 Hi everbody,
I know that the problem is still not resolve but, is there a way to received a notification when it will be resolve and also be sure that Microsoft is working on it ?
My printer brand said that they are not responsable and said to contact Microsoft. "It's not my problem"
I was hoping he was doing some minimal monitoring and pressure on Microsoft, but I'm not even sure.

2025-03-17T03:36:36+00:00 I have exactly same problem. My printer scanner is Brother 8810DW. Did some research. Found Fortect stated their software could fix this problem. Not true. I have exhausted every fix listed. Even tried to uninstall all Windows updates for the past year. Uninstalled Brother Suite, uninstalled updates. Rebooted and same problem. Brother trouble shooting software says scanner driver not found. Fortect has been making recommendations for me to try and after a full week working on the issue still no fix. I downloaded a simple scanner program from Microsoft and it gives me very limited scanning ability but no fix. I tried all of Brother's suggestions and no fix. Brother finally told me Microsoft issue and Microsoft will have to come up with fix.
