I just used the steps in the the post immediately above yours and it worked perfectly on my Brother MFC-L5705DW. I would suggest trying those steps if you have not done so already. I hope that they work for you as well!
Win 11 ver. 24H2 causing Brother scanning driver install to fail. How to fix?
Hi All,
I have a Brother DCP-7065DN multi-function machine, connected to my Windows 11 desktop computer. I was having some problems with a label printer and pursuant to that I disinstalled the Brother software and re-installed it. Since the re-install, the Brother printer driver installed but the scanner driver installation failed. I've tried multiple times.
Brother has noted this as a problem with Windows 11 Version 24H2. (See attached link.)
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks.
Nancy

2025-02-01T14:22:29+00:00 Thank you to whoever posted this. It worked like a charm. My Brother DCP-L2540DW will now scan from the Control Center and directly from the printer/scanner.

2025-01-11T07:28:00+00:00 Thanks for this. My solution (see below) worked for me, but I'm printing out your instructions and keeping them handy in case the steps I took don't work next time.
