Win 11 ver. 24H2 causing Brother scanning driver install to fail. How to fix?

Hi All,

I have a Brother DCP-7065DN multi-function machine, connected to my Windows 11 desktop computer. I was having some problems with a label printer and pursuant to that I disinstalled the Brother software and re-installed it. Since the re-install, the Brother printer driver installed but the scanner driver installation failed. I've tried multiple times.

Brother has noted this as a problem with Windows 11 Version 24H2. (See attached link.)

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Thanks.

Thank you, Sumit!!! This worked like a dream for me (I have a Brother MFC-L3710CW Laser Printer/Scanner). Note:I like to have a shortcut to the Scan application on my desktop. Once you have downloaded Scan from the Microsoft store, you can get the icon to sit on your bottom toolbar easily. To get it on the desktop, I had to open the App Store, then create a shortcut. Process: (1) Window Icon-R (opens Run window) (2) Where it asks you to "Open:" type in: shell:AppsFolder (3) Browse to Scan, right-click and select "Create Shortcut". (4) Select "Yes" to have the shortcut placed on the desktop. Hooray!!!

Honestly -- I do not buy that it is solely a "MS issue" as Brother says.....

Yes I know there are other makes/models out there having the same issues.

But explain why other software - like the NAPS2 app....works perfectly fine with the scanner function.

"Something smells in the state of Denmark" ...lol

I am having the SAME issue on my very old W10 machine....all this started after I shut down the Brother multifunction machien as well as the PC for a week.

The W11 machine is brand spanking new, a move I made BECAUSE I thought the 10 year old+ W10 PC was the culprit....

And for it to magically be working again on my W11 PC scares me...lol

Didn't work for me either! I tried everything on here multiple times. Still unable to feed scan. I have to open iprint./scan and hit the scan button that way rather than feed my docs and hit scan on the machine. It is such a huge hassle!! Argh!
