Agreed! I spent 2.5hrs on the phone with IT only to find it was a Microsoft issue. I have a brand new computer that hasn't worked properly due to this "little" update. I definitely see a class action on the horizon. Thinking about sending the IT bill to microsoft.
Win 11 ver. 24H2 causing Brother scanning driver install to fail. How to fix?
Hi All,
I have a Brother DCP-7065DN multi-function machine, connected to my Windows 11 desktop computer. I was having some problems with a label printer and pursuant to that I disinstalled the Brother software and re-installed it. Since the re-install, the Brother printer driver installed but the scanner driver installation failed. I've tried multiple times.
Brother has noted this as a problem with Windows 11 Version 24H2. (See attached link.)
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks.
Nancy

2025-02-25T21:51:03+00:00 I have the new ADS-1800W and I am unable to use my scanners screen. I have to open iprint/scan to scan documents. It is a real hassle!

2025-02-25T18:25:08+00:00 Here is a better solution. Download NAPS2 open source scanner software. You will need the original driver from the scanner manufacture but the scanner software is better than the manufacturers. Go to NASP2.com.
I am very happy with this workaround.

2025-02-20T23:03:04+00:00 Same problem with Brother MFC-J470DW. With all the people having this problem it would seem Microsoft should upgrade the severity level of the bug. I had an important zoom meet this morning. Half an hour prior to the meeting I received an email saying I had to sign and scan an important document. Well, I couldn't scan it!
MS disregard for its customers!
So is there an ETA for the fix?
