Crackling audio after update to 2004

After updating Win10 to 2004, I get crackling audio when I use Razer Surround Pro software. When I switch my audio output, I get normal audio. This only happens when I use Surround Pro.

Edit: Still talking with razer support but I ultimately believe this is an issue with the 2004 update. I hope there's a fix for this soon, although I don't mind still using 1909.

Edit: this is the reply from Razer I got today:

Good day!

We receive an update from our appropriate department that our Audio team is checking on the path forward. Should there be a fix, it will come in the form of a software update. Please check the synapse update from time to time.

Thanks.

Edit: I don't understand why, but having bluestacks running in the background fixes the issue.

Nope, I have just updated to 11 just to check on this issue and it is even worse, like ear hurting, it seems to me that after 2004 update the kernel driver manager is acting weird with high latency. Downloaded LatencyMon and on 1909 the kernel timings are good but from there upwards it is on red levels. disabled sound in bios and lan, ddu uninstalled my gpu, and driver the kernel timer is still high. check for yourself on any win version above 1909. (just go to options, select kernel time and hit start on latency mon) The windows itself has 22 ms latency which is a lot if you are gaming for example, because it adds up with other latency. I will install 1909 in 10 minutes and block the updates like forever. I think 1909 is the winner, they didn't succeed to ruin that one as good as the rest.

BTW, win 11 looks like it wants to turn my PC into a mobile device, I personally don't like that. Also FORCES you into creating an online USER/account with them with you having NO saying in this, which for some people is a no no and you also have to enable stuff in bios like secure boot and TPM2, I mean... were is the old windows times when you just install and you were on your way.

Quick reply here - not heard a thing about a fix for this issue which has me seriously bummed out.

Came across a reddit post that suggested that installing and running https://www.bluestacks.com/ in the background will fix the crackle.

Just tested it myself and for some odd reason it works again.Bluestacks is some mobile platform launcher - not sure what magic they're using, but it fixes the issue.

Finally able to use Surround again ! on the latest Windows update

I just discovered this by accident... if I have the sound settings screen open while Surround Pro is ON I don't get the crackling audio.  The second I close the sound settings screen the crackling audio starts again.  It has to be the sound settings screen.  If I switch to any of the other settings screens the crackling audio starts again.

Let me know if that works for anyone else as a temporary fix

Razer Surround Pro software has bad sound on my pc to,  when i use (Win10  -- Version 2004 update) but it works fine on (Win10 -- Version 1909)

I have spoken to Razer Support over E-mail , here is what they said to me :

(Razer Support : ---- I would suggest you to use the current windows version as there might be compatibility issue from the Windows Version 2004 Update)
