How to fix the "That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method" screen.

I was trying to get my phone number off my old account that my brother was using, but every time I try to add my phone number its keep saying "That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method", and the tab says "Blocked", and at first I thought my account was block [for Some reason], but I could still sign in, Then i tryed to refresh a few times. but that also didnt work, and the thing is I can put the phone number, back on the other account, but not on the other one i'm trying to get it on.

    How long does it take for the temporary ban to last as I have exhausted the other options and nothing I working. I have used another browser and it still doesn’t work and I have set up a separate email to fill out a request form but it said the information wasn’t sufficient (I made the security question when I was 8). I really need help getting back into my account as it is hindering me from doing other things

    Hi, there is literally no way for someone to steal my number and use it frequently without me noticing

    i lost my phone then immediately recovered my phone number easy as drinking water

    im using this number for like idk whole my life every single thing i have is on this number ( multiple microsoft accounts included )

    there was a long time i didnt needed this one im trying to recover it have one method only because i was young

    i were using fake names so i cant fill the useless questions u asked never purchased anything never sent an email

    im really upset i cant think properly rn but even a cow can notice how dumb is that security method just text me the code
