I was trying to get my phone number off my old account that my brother was using, but every time I try to add my phone number its keep saying "That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method", and the tab says "Blocked", and at first I thought my account was block [for Some reason], but I could still sign in, Then i tryed to refresh a few times. but that also didnt work, and the thing is I can put the phone number, back on the other account, but not on the other one i'm trying to get it on.

I have pulled up the account too. It is indeed locked, usually this happens when a violation of https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/servicesagreement is detected. However, we assume that your account is affected with the emerging bug issue from our servers. This means, many users are being locked right now like this.
What a frustrating situation. Try to help my neighbour with her login problems. But we get the exact same error when we try to reset the password. She always used the PIN on her laptop and forgot her password. But the old laptop is broken and she cannot log into her account.

Sorry, DerCQ. Tried everything suggested multiple times for the past 5 days. Same old autoreply that "That verification method isn’t working right now". Getting desperate! Can't you just unlock my account??
