Error 0X800701B1 - how to fix it?

Having problem with external hdd drive and after scanned and fixed, problem keeps appearing. Furthermore another error message when transferring files Error 0X800701B1. Kindly advise how to fix it.

    Hi,

    This is also happening to my. I have a new external HD and nothing I try is changing the error code. There must be an inherent problem with Windows.

    There are two type of external hard drives, the ones that have their own power supply and those who get the power through the USB port itself.

    I believe this error is the result of the particular USB port not being able to supply the required power to the external hard drive (and hence the computer does not recognise the drive anymore which can be seen by looking at the "open devices" ).

    If you use an externally powered hard drive that will probably resolve the issue.

    Alternatively using a different USB port could also solve the problem as some ports might have different maximum power outputs.

    I suggest checking your connections. I encountered this error while copying to a SanDisk flash drive connected to the computer by two daisy-chained USB 3.0 hubs. I moved the flash drive to an available USB port on the computer, and all went well.

    The error message for 0x800701B1 doesn't tell who specified which drive, nor what the language of that specification was. Passive voice, nonspecific, ambiguous, the error message provides no guidance. 

    I do everything but it doesn't working 

    I also reinstall windows but it is not working 

    I also do connected with other PC but it also shows same problem

    (my USB Drive is Kingston 32 GB) in my USB Have my Important Document

    My problem was with a secondary hard drive controller with a Marvell chip.  I swapped out the controller and my problems disappeared.  I'm not sure what you can do with a USB drive.
