Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    I haven't actually checked just yet, I let it load just after the splash screen. I'm playing other games currently so I'll check a little later, for the issue you're having I think it's been covered somewhere perhaps check their forums? Did you get to the optimising part? Loads for me :) And that's with other games running and Opera GX running :)

    OMG it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am wondering if my last ticket is the reason for the hotfix lol

    "Come on this is ridiculous, bought this in December and still can't even play it, we are now in February already"

    Tell us if it works :) I started to play FH3 and FM7 because oh this bug, so i finish them first...  :D
