Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    I really hope it's working because i've been paying for 6 or 7 months of game pass for a game I couldn't even play and i even own all the DLC!

    it works after updating in microsoft store,about 500mb update downloaded and all is fine.AT LAST!

    I now have it working.i went to Microsoft store and updated it with an update aprox.500mb. And it worked.at last. Had 3 tickets still open so marked as solved on latest 2.left original from last year. Hope it works for you all now

    No...not working here! Yesterday i replied to forza email and said that we have all been waiting for something to be done. They seemed surprised it still has problem. Its  a joke!! just tried it a few times and it still not starting.
