Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    have you tried running demo,then click on buy the game from there,it then pops up the store and click run, may have to do several times.then if game starts ,options ,video fulscreen off. then if you click expand the screen and while game loading on the task bar right click store ,close window,do same on demo. It works for me,although takes a while to do this.

    Yep I purchased the Full Utlimate edition last year, never worked and tried every trick in the book!, Tried just installing basic edition and that didnt work either. Demo Plays like a beuty though.

    Just dreaming of this Patch....
