Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    Agreed, thankfully there are other games that have my interest, just annoyed that I paid and it doesn't even load lol

    yes i have posted yet another ticket too. Its a nightmare,trouble is i dont want to give up. I did restart pc after the update and after about 13 attempts to start with the demo it actually started. Not sure if it will next time though. We could write a book about this...but no one would believe such a story. We plod on!

    I posted yet another ticket to them and told them there are now more people that can't play the game it's becoming laughable

    I dont fff believe this.i have been using the game for a while having found a way into it by using the demo.and forza have just updated my game and now i cant use it at all.what the f are they doing? Angry now!
