2 days ago i upgraded my windows 10 to build 1903 , since then ,

randomly and during any activity (gaming , watching a video ..etc) ,

screen with the word "locking" in the middle appears for half a second and my laptop goes into sleep mode

and then i have to turn it on again

this never happened before the update , i tried to reset and fresh start but, nothing worked , and now i can't get back to previous build

what do i do ?

HELP , PLEASE

SOLUTION

Hey guys

So, I solved the issue (for me, at least) a long time ago but forgot to report back. My apologies

Basically,

Settings -> power and sleep -> additional power settings -> change advanced power settings -> battery

Then, change critical battery action and low battery action to do nothing both on battery and plugged in

I don't know if others already solved the problem In a different way, but i Hope that helps

Have a good day

    Hi Greg,

So, i am also facing this problem, it started since yesterday after the windows update... now as many people are facing it after the windows update, I would like you to consider this reason and try to solve the issue in this direction, adding to others, i am facing this problem only while gaming, after 15 mins of gaming the lock screen comes up with the same blue background... the current version is 2004, this is very irritating because i have bought a gaming laptop to play games!!... i checked the temps, the cpu was giving 85-90 degree celcius, FYI this was the temps before the updates too, but system never got forced locked. Please provide a good solution and please try to understand the issue.

So after reading all the comments here, i tried 2 things..1st is changing the advance settings of battery from hibernate to do nothing, sadly it didnot worked... but there are settings which doesnot makes sense to me.... like why is there even a critical battery action for plugged in, and why is there a critical battery level... so to find out if this is causing the issue i changed the critical battery level to 90% and this time the laptop while gaming LAST LESS THAN 5 min and the same screen saying locking came, please greg this could be a potential reason for this issue.

2nd people said to remove battery, sadly i cannot do it as it is inbuilt... FYI my laptop is 28 days old only, and i always play games while plug in...  i also tried to uninstall the feature updates but windows couldnot do it.... the last thing is to reset windows but that will uninstall all the games and files which i do not want.... i hope someone to find a proper solution for this issue.

    Thankyou
