PDF files will no longer open on Windows Phone - Can't Open on EDGE

I've researched, cleared caches, and downloaded other PDF readers from the store to no luck ...

Since fixing a MAPS error with a Hard Reset, I've found that I can't open PDFs on my phone anymore. With Windows 10 on my Lumia 650 phone, the default/only way to see PDFs were (add still are) through EDGE.

When I click the file, whether it's on- or off-line, it would appear to proceed and open how it use to but end up saying:

Here is the converted link from an offline PDF file that accompanies the Message above (..the same prefix appears with online PDF files):

ms-appx-web:///assets/errorpages/ErrorPages.html?error=100000#file:///C:/Data/USERS/Public/Documents/EM_2018_schedule.pdf

When I email this and other PDFs to myself or click on PDFs online and open them on my PC, I'm able to see the file through EDGE without problems/error/issue.

Moved from: Microsoft Edge/ PDF, EPUB, and reading/ Windows 10

Yes, same problem on my Lumia 640. I've ordered a Nokia 5 with Android so I will now start moving away from Outlook and OneDrive. What an own goal by Mickeysoft.

Ok, so this is the last nail in the coffin for me. Even typing this message is a pain in edge, as deleting a single character takes ages. Im aware, that this platform had better days but releasing this kind of untested disaster is unacceptable. The most simple regression test set should at least contain stuff like opening most common file types and writing and editing text if you release a browser version to the public. This shows how much MS cares about the wp10 platform.

As it does not provide the most fundamental features i need for work and everyday lifeandi cant even trust in the still working features, im abandoning the platform.

just to add some useful comment as well, an app called pdf viewer plus lets you browse your pdf and open it.

As it seems, still no official statement or fix is available yet. Thanks MS for caring about your customers and addressing issues affecting that large amount of users. This platform had so much potential, its a shame that it wont ever be more than that. As my fancy new one+ arrived i'm out, so long and thanks for all the fish!

I am having Microsoft Lumia 950XL and am facing the same problem since many days. After reading the comments on this forum I am able to manage mine. I copied all pdf files kept in one folder from SD card to  phone and then open Adobe acrobat reader. There were three options once adobe reader is open under the "Places" tab; phone, SD card & Document Cloud. I tap on option 'phone' and it  uploaded all pdf files that was copied on the phone with in adobe acrobat option 'phone' . Now I am able to open through Adobe acrobat reader. Adobe reader was unable to pick from SD card (I do not know why?) thus needed to transfer file on your phone.

It's a issue stated here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4077675/windows-10-update-kb4077675 also I reached out to Adobe Acrobat via Twitter and they confirmed that from their side there isn't much they can do.
