Battery Draining In Alcatel Idol 4S

I have an Alcatel Idol 4S with windows 10 and when it is not being used the battery drains completely in one day. What is causing this?

    Forget Microsoft. If someone doesn't post a possible fix it won't ever happen.

    I have had my phone for about 15 months. But the battery problem started maybe 2 months ago. It just got gradually worse. Now it drains pretty fast if I watch videos.All of a sudden at 35% it jumps to 6%. I can use it for an hour or so at 6%. Longer if I read.

    I started moving apps to my micro SD card if it does anything. If not then maybe I will move the apps onto the phones internal memory. If that doesn't work I will uninstall stuff I don't use. Just keep trying different things. If anything works I will let you know. 

    By the way soon 5g will make all the phones obsolete. Those $1000 i phones will be $50. 

    So if you figure a fix let me know for now I like this Windows 10 phone!

    Thanks for the reply @GingX.  I haven't found anything to back up my claim that the battery drain is related to an OS update but that's when I noticed it. I also noticed that the time it takes to recharge also decreased.  I wonder if maybe there could be a glitch in the battery monitoring feature.

    If anyone else has any info that will help determine if it is related to an update, I hope you will also respond.  The more info we can find, the more likely we will be able to get @Microsoft to address the issue, if that's what is causing it.

    I have similar battery problems

    with the idol4s with windows 10 I can't seem to find out what the lifespan is on the battery.

    My phone has about one and a half years use. I have to plug it in every 2 to 3 hours. If someone knows how long the lifespan on these batteries is could you let me know? I called Alcatel tech support and they don't seem to know. I am not a game  player or heavy social user. But I keep the phone plugged in most of the time and have the Microsoft Docking station which I use occasionally and it gets hot but not that hot.

    So if someone has an approximate time frame for the battery 🔋 please let me know.
