Battery Draining In Alcatel Idol 4S

I do not think it is the battery for two reasons:

1The phenomenom occurred just 4 5 months after I bought the phone new 

2 When the battery level is recovered from 6% to its' original level you just can use the phone for many where it just uses power in a normal gradual way

I'm tempted to master reset my 4s and see how the battery indicator works after that. I am convinced that there is a glitch in one of the updates. If the battery issue goes away after the reset, that should answer the question.

You can try it. Personally, I never advise anyone to perform factory restore (Hard Reset) unless I have a good reason to advise it. When you hard reset a device, all of its contents are clean, this way you end a device without data and in most of the cases with the same problem. Sometimes it fixes the problem, but since you don’t know what the problem was, it may happen again…

You should be able to back up data and settings and then restore after the reset, correct?

Stanger as it may seem it can happen. If the battery was ok, it would no be normal for it to go up to 48% when you only plugged the AC adapter for a second. I’ve seen several strange behaviours like that but in phones that the battery can be removed. In those phones removing the battery for a few minutes many times solves the problem.

By the way, have you already checked if the current and voltage from our AC adapter are according to the specifications of the AC adapter? That is, if the adapter is working correctly.

I mean when I connect the phone only for a millisecond to a charger the battery level is recovered to e.g. 48% then I can just use the for ca. 10 hours before I have to recharge it again. If the battery was damaged it would not last so long after the recovery of the battery level.
