Hello. I'm quite unhappy with my entire experience. I have had to contact support multiple times because my computer "wasn't on the list" of computers able to run the latest updates. I find this incredibly ironic, as it has 8gb of ram, lots of disk space, and a very nice processor (~2.6ghz). I have had my agents help me as much as they could, and that wasn't the bad part, they did great! For a day... Somehow, even after they went and did the whole thing about delaying updates for 8 months or so, The Windows 10 update installer app downloaded. It has hogged me for the past week, with me having to abort multiple updates, not wanting to lose my pc again. I am a student, and can not afford a new one, but just recently I gave up and let it update. It quit out halfway through, as usual, and went back to the same condition it was at. Nothing works.
This is not like last time, I had to get a Windows 10 system on a usb, and repair my boot loader last time. This time, Windows simply won't do anything. It's currently telling me the only option left is a hard reset.
I have physically tried everything besides a hard reset. I refuse. Why should I lose my personal belongings, when it's out of my control? This is not an issue with anything except Windows. What can be done about this? I am very disappointed in the fact this has ruined my computer, I really hope you can do something about this.

I got the Win 10 downloaded onto a flash drive at a friends. I ran it and I receive an error along the lines of 'media driver missing, unable to continue'. I've Googled the location for this driver, and it's apparently on Windows/System32/DriverStore, and pointed the process to this location, but the PC still says it can't find it. Also, when I'm in the recovery mode screens, Reset my PC isn't a choice. You've helped me so far, any ideas now? Thanks in advance either way...
Myself personally, if something fails again and again, whether it's a computer or anything else, I don't keep on trying. Don't want to take the chance of breaking something. Instead, I find out what the reason is or ask someone for help.

About buying a Windows 10 DVD: Why would you do that when you can download the installer direct from Microsoft for free? Go to Download Windows 10. Your computer already has/had Windows 10 on it, right? So it's already activated, and you don't need to pay for another license.
I am mystified that this is not common knowledge. Even Microsoft provides instructions on how to disable automatic updates "and put you in control". Google "stop windows 10 automatic updates" several
methods are provided. I used a couple of the methods together, but it was some time ago and I am unwilling to guess which 2. I will say that I have not gotten another auto update since. Yes I did this after an auto update screwed up my drivers and video card leaving me with no display whatsoever.
6 month old Dell laptop that continuously bsod after a recent Windows 10 forced update. Rolling back the updates did not help. I feel like smashing the laptop and mailing it to Microsoft, but maybe I'll just install Windows 7 and live without the drivers...
At the office where we run Windows 10, it has repeatedly forced a reboot at random times and destroyed countless man-hours of work.
Windows 10 is a plague. My desktop will never get it.
I was forced to run an update recently on my Laptop. I live in South Africa but was in London for three weeks and needed my Laptop to do work. I let the laptop update over night but in the morning the laptop would not boot up and no matter what I did I could not get this to work.
In desperation I bought a new drive and used one of my new windows keys and took a day, to get the new drive working and in a state that I could continue to work.
Once I returned home, I “slaved” what I thought was the "damaged" HDD and was able to access all files EASILY, clearly it was the upgrade by windows that fucked up my drive and cost me a new drive and some 8+ hours of work!
Microsoft Windoze remains the same bug ridden OS, cant wait for Google to take over completely!
