Hello. I'm quite unhappy with my entire experience. I have had to contact support multiple times because my computer "wasn't on the list" of computers able to run the latest updates. I find this incredibly ironic, as it has 8gb of ram, lots of disk space, and a very nice processor (~2.6ghz). I have had my agents help me as much as they could, and that wasn't the bad part, they did great! For a day... Somehow, even after they went and did the whole thing about delaying updates for 8 months or so, The Windows 10 update installer app downloaded. It has hogged me for the past week, with me having to abort multiple updates, not wanting to lose my pc again. I am a student, and can not afford a new one, but just recently I gave up and let it update. It quit out halfway through, as usual, and went back to the same condition it was at. Nothing works.
This is not like last time, I had to get a Windows 10 system on a usb, and repair my boot loader last time. This time, Windows simply won't do anything. It's currently telling me the only option left is a hard reset.
I have physically tried everything besides a hard reset. I refuse. Why should I lose my personal belongings, when it's out of my control? This is not an issue with anything except Windows. What can be done about this? I am very disappointed in the fact this has ruined my computer, I really hope you can do something about this.

Linux ... Is all I can say .. Going through this same crap with a dell inspiron less than 3 years old .. Lost 20 hours of work had to reinstall .. Now its in the same update loop .. Ms you suck... Oh And I have only been using ms since dos 3.0 .. and ms certified.. Last time they screwed the pooch this bad was with windows 2k sp3 .. What a piece of work..
It has been five months, they don't know how to fix it and in my case it overclocked my tower causing the mother board to melt down. I have to replace my tower but at this rate, Apple has few options for users like me who need usb drives and ports for shop work. Plus they keep slowing down their devices, Microsoft on the other hand has several options because windows is the standard but I am afraid to replace my tower because of what happened to my old one. There is no excuse for forcing updates, but Microsoft has decided that they need to do this no matter what cost actual customers have at the expense of very expensive computer equipment.

Why are you not immediately addressing the many issues with Windows 10 updates? My updates now appear uninstallable and have frozen my desktop! The cumulative update, which I am assuming is a fix to the previous updates, is plagued with errors that it will not even download properly. Since your updates are not reliable, we should have an option to uninstall or turn off updates without spending hours on google learning technical troubleshooting bypass techniques from other users who are not paid to troubleshoot your System. I have lost control of my computers to Windows 10 THAT DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. Just a very disappointed Windows 10 PC user venting hoping someone at Windows take charge of these issues or hire someone who can.
Lorne, believe me I understand your anger and frustration with the response, but in fairness to him/her, they're only trotting out the MS script. I spoke (Posts passim) to a manager and he was quite candid in his opinion to the developers who trotted out 1803. Suffice to say, he wasn't happy and more so because at the time MS had no idea how to solve the problem, so he and the rest of the agents were fielding calls from such as you and I and couldn't do anything to help. It's a situation that is deeply embarrassing to MS but damaging to Win 10 users. It's all the more frustrating when we see ads promoting the latest add ons and updates that Ms are promising.
MS, FIX existing problems before adding any more, what aren't you understanding?

Mine is a major hardware problem, as in the new update overclocked my PC causing it to pop the mother board on my PC. Linux on the other hand I have heard mixed comments about it and all said it was not nearly as good as windows or the Mac systems. With that being said, some programs I need for my business will not run on Linux and will not fix my problem. For example I design plans for woodworking using my PC, none of the programs I use are supported on that platform. It may be fine if you are just surfing the web or have to type messages in something like Microsoft Word but it is not an overall fix for this problem.
