Good job Microsoft... maybe next time when you roll out an update test it first before breaking just about everyone's Windows 8.1 device... like yea you want people to goto Win10 but not everyone can...

My computer has just been cleaned off and had a new hard drive replacement. Whenever I try to add a Microsoft account to log on to this cleaned laptop, it just says to check network problems. I have done this multiple times, with the troubleshooter saying nothing is wrong. I don't know what to do.

2017-10-04T14:36:50+00:00 Another person to add to the list. Wiped system, installed Windows 8 (no login available) run all updates including 8.1 and still no joy. Can't upgrade to Windows 10 either as tried before and several drivers issues made my computer unusable.

My business has 11 computers. Beginning of Q4 isn't the time I want to initiate a company wide operating system transition.... and the number of people effected keeps going up.
Is there an ETA yet as to when this will be addressed?

Windows 10 is not locked to a specific country, so if you're experiencing the Windows 8.1 bug and your computer specifications pass the requirements for Windows 10, you may consider upgrading to Windows 10. If in case your device doesn't meet the requirements for Windows 10, we suggest using a local account for now while our engineers are in the process of fixing the bug.
Any further updates regarding the release date of the bug fix will be posted here in the future.
