Windows update KB3004394 causes the following issues on my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system:
All MMC functions (Event Viewer, etc.) now require Administrator action, although in an Administrator account.
Windows Defender service will not start
The Windows Defender Service Terminated with the following error

Removing it returns the system to normal.
Anyone else experience this?

Hi,
After Tuesdays update, I can no longer use the On-Screen Keyboard (osk.exe). Clicking on the icon on my Windows 7 (64) taskbar, a red X error message opens:
"C:\system32\osk.exe A referral was returned from the server"
I've searched for osk.exe and found a few instances in both folders for 32 stuff and 64.
None of them open.
I need the OSK. Is there any way to restore it. Or is it available for download from Microsoft?

What are your update settings set to?
It was still there 12-10-14 when I did it unfortunately now it is going to harass me to update which slows my computer down. I have windows 7 HP SP1 64 bit. I guess I will try cutting off updates and check manually from now on. We desperately need a fix for this.

Office 2010 Starter didn't like KB3004394 installed either.

KB3004394 (Win7 64-bit) successfully uninstalled here. No more UAC prompts after doing so - and Office 2010 CTR installed one or more updates in the background afterwards.
KB3004394 was still being offered when I ran a manual check for updates a few minutes later. Did not hide it - but after deleting the contents of **%system%\SoftwareDistribution**Download <=this folder, WU no longer offers KB3004394. So it looks to have been pulled.
