I just recently started getting this error when using Live Mail synced with my hotmail account

Server Error: 3219

Server: http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync\_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

Looked for solutions online and tried most of the suggestions, but most are several years old and no longer apply since the switch to Outlook.

Server Error: 3219

Server: http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync\_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

The error codes indicate that this Outlook.com account has been upgraded to the new version. Please sign into the account at http://mail.live.com; you should see something like the Outlook Mail banner shown here in the top left-hand corner of the window:

This means that you can't use DeltaSync to access this account any more, because Outlook Mail is not provisioned for it. You'll find step-by-step instructions for setting up the account to use IMAP instead on this page:

Windows Live Mail and Outlook Mail

If you sign in in Windows Live Mail with this account, you'll find that the calendar will no longer synchronize.

For the second time I have had to trash my existing account and set it up again setting up IMAP and SMPT.  Had to wait until all my folders were updated.  After screwing around it finally worked again.  Microsoft is killing people with their undocumented changes and no warning.  UGH.  Outbound mail on WLM is now working again.

Uh, for the second time, They DID give a warning. Actually twice for me.

Glad you have it up and working.

I had WLM working somewhat but still had issues.

i gave up on it but still haven't uninstalled it just yet.

i agree with your thoughts on Win10 mail.

layout sucks and is kind of cartoonish at best.

Microsoft had sent out warnings in my hotmail email account stating that they will no longer support WLM and you must use another program.

i tried to like Win10 mail, but just flat out didn't like it.

so my solution was to to go back to a email program I used years ago, and it is Thunderbird.

it does email, calendar and scheduling smoothly.

so that's what works for me.

i was pissed when they dropped Outlook Express.

thats when I experimented with thunderbird.
