It's now Oct 2016, my WLmail has just stopped working with this 3219 error.
Read a lot of the replies and tried them, no go!
Just not sure why MS has done this without giving us an easy means of still using Hotmail, all these settings to change and there are several versions of what needs doing.
I'm about hacked off with MS, Bill Gates' legacy is starting to really be trashed, MS is dumbing down to Android/Google levels, just interested in what they can get us to buy on-line as that is now the first thing that comes up when you sign into your MS
account!
If they want to run an on-line shop they need to move to Amazon as they have the best one.
Had upgraded to 10 from 7, what an awful thing, bought a new Win 7 OS and changed back.
Now having to use my email account via a browser so have no means of looking at my old mail while off-line.
We can't all afford the latest machines and unlimited broadband.
I'll retire my aged Hotmail account and use Gmail via Chrome. We may as well all change to Android as that is what MS is trying to emulate now.
Nostalgic but I do often think back to an Apple IIe running Microsoft Works while I worked on oil exploration in the Sahara in the 1970's. We used the first ever GPS, only 3 satelites so it took a week or so for an accurate fix!
These days we don't get change for improvement but to sell us the latest 'New' thing but it's only a few knew control knobs, what's inside is still the same old systems.
About time the OS was taken off the 'C' drive and given a decitaed partition so no program or outside source could get at it, stop all this security being needed.
So MS, must be quite a few of us oldies with Hotmail accounts, do you want us to stay?
If so then give us an easy fix so we can still use it, if not then it's been nice knowing you but goodbye as there are plent of other accounts that we can use that don't give us hassle every few months to change how everything works. AND we even have to
'Google' our problem to find an answer from another user as you can't be bothered to fix what you messed up while making it!
