Can't send email, keep getting server error 3219, Windows Live Mail error 0x8DE00005

I just recently started getting this error when using Live Mail synced with my hotmail account

Server Error: 3219

Server: http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync\_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

Looked for solutions online and tried most of the suggestions, but most are several years old and no longer apply since the switch to Outlook.

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

The error codes indicate that this Outlook.com account has been upgraded to the new version. Please sign into the account at http://mail.live.com; you should see something like the Outlook Mail banner shown here in the top left-hand corner of the window:

This means that you can't use DeltaSync to access this account any more, because Outlook Mail is not provisioned for it. You'll find step-by-step instructions for setting up the account to use IMAP instead on this page:

If you sign in in Windows Live Mail with this account, you'll find that the calendar will no longer synchronize.

    Did not have "my server....".  Emptied the outbox sent new email.  No error message but note did not go.  Still in the outbox.

    Went to the web based outlook and I have an upgraded account.  

    Added my account again using imap and smtp with the correct ports and did the my server thing.  Still c10an't send mail but can receive mail.  My wife's PC and WLM is having the same problem.  What is going on with MS.  It is no wonder people go to Apple.  They don't get issues like this with them.  UGH!

    When I said Fix It I was refering to microsoft fixing the issue.  If they were going to make this change they should have sent out instructions.  I don't like the W10 email system because the look and feel is horrible.  I guess if they make life painfull enough we will go to the W10 email package.  UGH!

    FIX IT!

    I'm afraid you're going to have to fix it yourself ...

    Server Response: 550 5.7.3 Requested action aborted; user not authenticated

    Right-click on the account name in the folder pane and select Properties.

    • On the Servers tab 

    Ensure that the Email username is your full email address

                  - Ensure that Log on using clear text authentication is selected - Select My server requires authentication

    • Click Apply and OK

    Remove any unsent messages from the outbox (below the account folders in the folder pane), then compose a new test message with a unique subject and send it to yourself. Post any new error message in your reply.

    Windows 10 with the latest updates.  

    get the following error

    The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address. The sender's email address was '******@msn.com'.

    Subject 'Fw: Fwd: Fw: Fwd: Not meant to offend - send it on or delete'

    Server Error: 550

    Server Response: 550 5.7.3 Requested action aborted; user not authenticated

    Read a lot of the replies and tried them, no go!

    There's really only one you need to read - the one that's marked as the answer to the question. Does no go mean that you worked through the steps in the article but something went wrong?
