Windows Media Player and Windows 10

OK. I just want to clarify and confirm. Windows Media Playerwill be available with Windows 10, but Windows Media Center will not be available.... Right? ( I hope so, as I usually use the Windows Media Player on my Windows 7 PC to play my music)

    Thank you for the update on the issue.

    There might be a chance that drivers either get corrupted or need an update. So, try to install all of the updates available and display drivers. Updating drivers may fix the issue. You may refer to the article mentioned below to update the drivers.

    If issue still persists, then install the drivers for Windows 8/8.1 from the manufacturer's website in compatibility mode and check if that works.

    I finally went to Microsoft and did an online chat about the DVD problem.  I was told that my computer at work was eligible for the free download, but my computer at home is not.  Now, I've had friends who upgraded to 10, at home, and have gotten the free DVD player.  Which leads me to believe that there's something seriously wrong. 

    The chat led me to download the VLC app which was supposed to also allow me to listen to my music.  It doesn't work.  This means I have no way to use my DVD player or my music library.  I don't understand why I should have to pay for this on my home PC. 

    I am so disgusted that I'm thinking of removing 10 from my laptop, even as much as I hate 8.1.

    I have the same issue as Pamarp and it has nothing to do with DVD playback.

    All I want to do is listen to previously ripped CDs.

    Some or ok some are not.

    Furthermore, whilst it says WMP12 should have been installed with Windows 10 upgrade how can I tell for sure?
