I have been using Microsoft Picture It! Premium 10 (mpi10) with Windows XP for quite some time until just recently when I bought a new computer with Windows 8.1. However, when I tried to install mpi10 on my new computer, I realized the two weren't compatible.
I really like mpi10, & I work with pictures quite often. Question is... is there a way to make it compatible, or is there another photo editing software that it compares with, that is compatible with Windows 8.1, & that I can download from your site?

Yes, as per the compatibility status on Windows Compatibility center is concerned, Microsoft Picture It is not compatible with Windows 8.1. Refer to the link to get the details:
However, in Windows 8.1 Operating System, you can use Windows Live Photo Gallery in place of Microsoft Picture It:

I am very unhappy with Microsoft's choice to make it impossible to use Pictureit with the updated versions of windows. It's not fair, and I agree we've been robbed. I can't do necessary picture editing with the programs they have left us with to use.
It seems to me I should have the option to keep it with all the windows updates. I would be so happy if Microsoft gave it back.
I feel the same..... i used Picture It ! all the time!!! Please Microsoft , bring it back please !

I have Win 7 and 10 on my computer. Would PictureIt10 work on the Win7 side? Photo Gallery does not do what I need (repair photos, embellish, and ability to create T-shirt transfers). I have Picture it 2002 and 2003, but both of my older computers that they worked on bit the dust.
I do/did a lot of photo repair as I am into genealogy, and often receive damaged photos that the Picture it program repaired, augmented, embellished, etc. to help those who sent them be able to distinguish who this or that person is/was.
