Original Title: Issue with Windows Store.
Split from-
Every time I attempt the reset for the store (Store and other apps routinely crash after the Win 8.1 update). I receive the below error message:
All device drivers are up-to-date (and have not changed since when it did work)
Anti-Virus is the same as it was when everything worked (Norton AV)
I launched a command prompt with administrative rights and ran "wsreset.exe". The screen flashes over to the store, then crashes back to the start screen. When returning to the desktop, the following error is found:
I ran system file checker, with administrative rights, and it reported back with no issues:

I ran the automatic fix and it found this but to be honest I've never had a problem with windows update it always finds and installs updates without a problem.
I tried to run the manual fix but quite a few of the commands in step 6 gave me error messages, I've got screenshots if you want to see them.

This is the description which applies to it:
The Microsoft Windows Dynamic Cache Service will manage the working set size of the Windows System File Cache. For 64 bit systems this service helps to address the problem of excessive cached read I/O that could eventually consume all of physical memory. Sample source code and compiled files are included in the compressed file.
However, on checking the System Requirements, I note that it only applies to the following OSs:
Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista
The odd thing about this though is that in was released on March 7, this year. I say odd, because Mainstream Support for Windows Vista ended in October 4, 2012.
As I understand it, Extended support kicks in when Mainstream support ends, but only applies to security patches. This release isn't one of those though.
You could maybe try running this Fixit which clears Windows Update cache to see if it makes any difference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058/en-us
Other than that though, I'm afraid I'm at a loss as to what else to suggest.
I restored the registry backup but then undid it as it didn't seem to make a difference to them.
No updates were removed in the process.
The permissions already say "Owner - System" and the "disable inheritance" button is showing so they are as they should be so not quite sure what else can be done as far as permissions are concerned.
OK, but before you go troubleshooting afterwards, install the May 13 security patches first otherwise you'll be putting you machine at risk from exploits.
Yes he did but if I reinstall that one it eliminates the problem i was facing with mine showing "enable inheritance" whereas yours showed "disable inheritance" as that original one showed "disable inheritance"
