Update KB2862330 repeatedly fails to install on Windows 7.

    Susan, not talking about one computer, but a multitude.

    Checking procedure: control panel > Windows Updates > View Update History - Not Listed

    Check driver files - no 18251files listed

    Manual Updates - No Important Updates Available!

    USB flash drive - install KB2862330 = OK

    All affected driver files now 18251

    If KB28262330 were not required, it wouldn't install.

    And the stuff I work on has no USB gimmicks installed (policy), so I've never had one crash and only a few required a double restart.

    1. Open a command prompt. To do so, click Start, type cmd, and press ENTER.
    2. Type cd %userprofile% and press ENTER.
    3. Type wmic qfe list full /format:htable > hotfixes.htm
    4. Type start iexplore %userprofile%\hotfixes.htm

    That will list if it was installed.

    So it wasn't offered up when you did a manual scan?

    Susan - Not unchecked but not offered; I ran a manual update check on a bunch and KB2862330 was not listed (nor was it installed through automatic updates). As I said - a manual download and manual installation = OK

    Everything from Toshiba laptop's (Win 7 HP x64) to a HPTC (Win 7 HP x86) to CAD workstations (Win 7 pro x64), etc.

    About 60%

    You lost me?  It should be offered up to systems.  I've seen it unchecked (still) but it is being offered up.
