If you can boot into the Windows desktop without a getting a blue screen, uninstall the update: control panel > programs & features > view installed updates and right click on KB2862330 and select uninstall.

If the blue screen happens in a loop every time the PC boots up (like my Dell did), probably not. However, you can try to boot your PC using the Windows installation disk and doing a startup repair and see if that helps.

I had the same thing happen (I get Windows updates automatically) and am getting the blue screen with STOP: 9x00000050.  Is there a way to remove the offending update without having to completely restore the system?

There is a quite interesting and unemotive summary of the October 2013 updates in this independent site:

    http://home.comcast.net/~itdave/site/?/page/Microsoft/&PHPSESSID=5c4a2c67d806f72bcab8f936e6b63e84

I cannot verify what Dave is saying, but he is one of the few to mention a simple way out of the reboot loop. He also itemises different issues with USB drivers against the individual KB numbers (not always prefixed by KB).
