Nokia Lumia 930 microphone problem

Hello.

I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.

 When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.

So far i've done:

Soft reset

Hard reset

Nokia Software recovery tool

Does anyone have this issue?

Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

    hi,

    the problem remains!

    had done a reset of the phone...had went through some posts, looks latest build of WP10 not resolve it yet.

    HOWEVER, I discover my microphone (maybe 2nd microphone), not completely dead. If I shout to it like crazy the people at the other end can heard faint voice. Some posts as well as MS helper page suggest you plug and un-plug the head-phone jack...no luck for me at the moment.

    Hi. Sorry to disappoint you but there Is NO simple fix here other than take your phone to a repair shop.  Use your warranty if you have one if not then you might have to pay to fix it. Those on this thread who have reported that their phone were repaired by nokia unfortunately we're not told what the problem was. The fix was either a replaced unit or a replaced motherboard but no more specifics other than that.

    I have the same problem .

    Cortana works but when I turn the phone to speaker mode,it doesnt work.

    have you fixed it?How can I solve this problem in Iran?

    At the end of the day your iPhone with all of its problems remained a phone maybe not a smart one anymore but performed its basic function of being a voice communication tool.

    You're absolutely right.

    I know this might seem pedestrian or patronising especially because Microsoft have in their troubleshooting but it's not intended.

    Have you tried getting a vacuum cleaner on the microphone areas of the 1020. Poor sound quality looks as though it has something blocking it, as opposed to it cutting out. I only say because I once had this problem on a few previous non-Nokia phones. And it was lint and dirt inside either the headphones jack/socket,speaker, mic area etc. I must be a dirty person. haha.

    Once I thought my very expensive headphones were broken. I accepted it. Then I managed to get some food in the headphones socket of my phone and couldn't get it out. So I used a pin to crumble it and pull it out. Instead a relatively large piece of dirt came out and the headphones worked perfectly.
