Windows Live Mail can not copy hyperlinks from one e-mail to another.

Hey all.

Long story short, I am writing this for my mother who current runs a dog boarding business as well as various other e-mail accounts, ranging from fan clubs to personal ones. She has a draft e-mail saved which contains information and links she would COPY and PASTE into e-mails prior to sending them. Essentially, these are signatures. No matter which signature she copies and pastes, each one has at least one weblink.

As of yesterday, when copying and pasting that information, the link does not copy with the text. Instead of pasting the text as a hyperlink, like she has been able to, it simply shows the text without any clickable option.

I have double checked the options, Read all messages in plain text is unticked, as well as the Mail Sending Format and News Sending Formation both being set to HTML.

Can anyone help please?

    I am definitely not going to mess with my Registry entries.  No average user should be expected to do this to fix something which was caused by Microsoft's inefficiency and failure to test products before release.

    The statement I quoted was

    2.  Set a *restore point*.

    where the words restore point contained a hyperlink to an article explaining how to set a restore point. Those instructions in fact apply to Windows 8, the OS of the user I was helping at the time. You might prefer these instructions: Create a restore point

    There was no intermediate step via my browser.  The cut and paste was from MS Word direct into WLM, which is what I had always done until Win 8.0 became Win 8.1.  Why would I want to put in an extra step?  I just want MS to honour their commitment to fix the problem.

    After download "Double-click onHoge.reg to add the entries it contains to your registry." 

    By default, .reg files open with Registry Editor and merge the entries they contain into the registry. If this doesn't happen on your computer, something has changed your default file associations. You can perform the same action manually:

    1. Type regedit into the start search box and press Enter. Give UAC permission.
    2. On the File menu, click Import and import the .reg file on your desktop.
    3. Close Registry Editor and reboot the computer.

    Once clarified am I to understand that if it does not work we simply revert to the prior restore pint and it's all reversed.

    Finally, "For a possible little bonus, try forwarding a message with embedded images that failed to send properly previously." ... you have not understood the problem.

    When I found out that Internet Explorer normally operates within Windows Live Mail in IE8 mode and that there is a way to change this, I did a few experiments to try and establish whether any of the other program oddities might be corrected by setting browser emulation to the current version. It seemed that the long-term problem of not being able successfully to forward some messages containing embedded images might be mitigated by this change, but I don't have the data to test with. That's why I suggested that anyone facing both problems check whether there's any improvement.

    P.P.S "You'll note that step 2 is set a restore point with a link to instructions."  I understand the "restore point"  but a "restore point" has no "link to instructions." What are you talking about when you say "set a restore point with a link to instructions"? I have no idea what that means.
