Guys, I have a solution for this problem
1- go to the store
2- open "My account" section
3- change your Microsoft account which is used in the store
4- go to "my apps" section. No apps
5- the next time you try an app change the account to the old one and if you like switch back to your new account so that it will be added to your apps
Done
well ... this would be a workaround (not a solution though) ... but it only does work if you are going in knowing that microsoft is unable and/or unwilling to provide basic functionality.
as is i have a main account that is linked with all kinds of different devices and services (2x win8 pc, lumia phone, surface tabled, onedrive with 28gb, office365, ...) so i only could now set up a secondary account and start using this method but there
is no way to get the garbage out of my primary account.
it is really sad, that microsoft does not even address this issue, but hey ... their inability to provide basic functionality was the reason i had to switch the office-accounts of all our users over to google apps, so this should not surprise me at all at
this point.
this company fails to adress issues in their business-suite (like providing authentication mechanisms that work cross-platfrom over to linux, endorsing industry-standards like webdav to work around their inapt skydrive that still is based on the old groove
and falls apart as soon as you try to sync more than a hand full of files, ...) there is no reason to think that microsoft would give two sh... about providing the basics for its non-business consumer-base ...
its the same across the board ... tried changing your gamertag with the x-box games lately? ... i have ... obviously rolling this out on phone, tablet and pc is no reason for microsoft at all to provide any functionality there. to access your gamertag you
need an x-box ... way to go to ruin the all-integrated philosophy ...
one - by now - majorly frustrated - and if nothing changes right now soon to be ex - customer.
