Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your issue description , I understand that you need to delete the uninstalled App history from the Windows App Store.

Unfortunately its not possible to delete the uninstall App history in the windows 8 App store. Its designed like that .So in future if you want install any of these apps again in your computer you don’t to have search for that in the whole App Store. You can just select “My Apps” and from there you can install that once again very easily.

Hope this helps. Please get back to us if you have any other questions

Time to get a new portable device. Can't decide between windows and android tablet, but then sudden inspiration hits! A simple deciding question: Three years later, have they fixed the "unable to delete app history" bug?

    ...*drumroll*...

Nope! They still haven't even acknowledged it.

Sorry Microsoft; Galaxy Tab it is. Maybe next time, huh? : P

I'd like to add to the list of people who have installed apps, realised they are rubbish and then want to remove them from their list of installed apps.

There are even apps that are in my list that I can't download because they have been removed from the store but are still listed in my apps, CRAZY CRAZY.

Windows 8.1 Update 1 is definitely an improvement on useability but they have got a long way to go yet. Eg. sharing a news article to anything other than facebook and twitter is impossible. What about pocket, google+, digg, reddit - this sharing needs opened up. and there is no printing option, there is no highlight and copy/paste option to share so you end up using a website to find the article again and then share it, CRAZY. Android is just so much better in this regard.

I have 8.1 and you still cannot remove apps from the uninstalled history it is very annoying! They should let you remove them. No point in having stuff laying around in your history if you are NEVER going to use it again!

Microsoft support has no presence here.

You are incorrect about that.  I was contacted by a group in Redmond regarding this issue some time ago.

Another half a year has passed. Nothing changes.

Did anyone try the win8.1 2014 update? I hope Microsoft will fix this bug along within this packages.
