how to delete the history of uninstalled apps in win 8 store

when i uninstalled apps in win 8 ,,, i dont know how to delete that history because when i checked in "your apps"(in win 8 store),,

there were history of unistalled apps..

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your issue description , I understand that you need to delete the uninstalled App history from the Windows App Store.

Unfortunately its not possible to delete the uninstall App history in the windows 8 App store. Its designed like that .So in future if you want install any of these apps again in your computer you don’t to have search for that in the whole App Store. You can just select “My Apps” and from there you can install that once again very easily.

    I checked and both the apps "Sports" and "Finance" are listed as being installed so I did as you suggested Larryvc, and after installing then  uninstalling them they are still listed as being installed. I assume that because they were Microsoft apps that were included with Windows 8, you can't actually "uninstall" them. Once again Microsoft has decided what a consumer needs or wants. The other apps I've uninstalled aren't listed in updates and are listed as uninstalled. So I have a choice of uninstalling them and unchecking them when it comes to updates. Not a big pain in the **** but it does irritate me for sure.

    I might be naïve but one would think that Microsoft would see that this is one of this thread has grown as big as it has as quickly as it has and that no one on here has anything positive to say about not being able to clear or at least delete some of the uninstalled apps history. Maybe if the word gets out and people boycott the store they'll listen. I know for sure that unless it's fixed,  I won't be downloading any more apps from the Store unless it's something I really need, which is doubtful since I can get the apps I need somewhere else, and that includes books and music.

    Oh good. Tell them to change it. People want to permanently remove things. What if (not that i would) by accident (or purposely) install some **** app ? What if YOU do it your self and want to get rid of it because it was a mistake. WOULDNT YOU WANT IT GONE FOR GOOD ? I BET my my hairy legs you would.

    Microsoft support has no presence here.

    You are incorrect about that.  I was contacted by a group in Redmond regarding this issue some time ago.
