how to delete the history of uninstalled apps in win 8 store

when i uninstalled apps in win 8 ,,, i dont know how to delete that history because when i checked in "your apps"(in win 8 store),,

there were history of unistalled apps..

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community Forums.

From your issue description , I understand that you need to delete the uninstalled App history from the Windows App Store.

Unfortunately its not possible to delete the uninstall App history in the windows 8 App store. Its designed like that .So in future if you want install any of these apps again in your computer you don’t to have search for that in the whole App Store. You can just select “My Apps” and from there you can install that once again very easily.

    "....That is a horrible design decision.  Why not let the user decide if they want to keep a history or not?  Better yet, give the user the ability to flag apps as favorites or put apps on a 'wish list'.  It is a far better design strategy to give the user choices and control over how they wish to manage their data.  (I.e., app history)....."

    I totally agree, If I've chosen to uninstall an app because it was rubbish, why in heavens name would I chose to keep a history of this. I can imagine over time it would be come totally cluttered with unwanted items that it effectively defeats it own purpose!!!

    It's like saying I cannot delete a document history in Word (for example) That may have been handy to link to your document but stupid if I deleted the document as it was no longer required. Or better still a website that I marked as a favorite while completing an assignment that was relevant at the time and never being able to remove it from my favorites because MS decides I might want to revisit the specs page of my 1998 nokia mobile that I reviewed at the time!

    I strongly urge MS to change this and I note that they haven't in 8.1.

    This will seriously affect my OCD!!!

    I've deleted some apps but my phone still says my storage is low how do I get to the uninstalled apps to delete them from my system to make more storage space for other apps????

    Microsoft support has no presence here.

    You are incorrect about that.  I was contacted by a group in Redmond regarding this issue some time ago.

    If any of you other "annoyed app users" are following this thread, it appears that as some have commented an issue only gets looked at when it's created. Once someone from Microsoft marks it as Answered there is probably no longer any follow up. How about if all of us started a new thread? At least someone at Microsoft would have to look at the new posting. :-)

    It's all about figuring out how to break the technical communication bottleneck, right?

    Also, I clicked an about 50 of the posts as a "Me Too" supporter. I don't know if that helps at all, but there should be thousands of people voting "Me Too", not hundreds. :-(
