how to get my printer online

Mine is on but it won't print and says its offline.

I have the same frustration as all the others getting the printer on line. My problem, I think, is that the printer (since it's wireless) is looking for a particular network - like xfinity - if it homes in on any other network like my cellphone's network or the other comcsast network - it won't budge.

Go to settings on the pc and make sure your network is the one that both your pc and the associated printer are the same (look at the settings on the printer as well) if not then get them set the same...it fixed my problem.....I'll probably have to atone for the bad words I used getting the printer back online

My printer is all lit up, so it is turned on, but the HP troubleshooter says it is off!

This is how I was FINALLY able to get our printer back on line:

A) Go to Settings

B) Select “Change PC Settings”

C) Select “Control Panel”

D) Select “Hardware and Sound”

E) Select “Devices and Printers”

F) Right Click on “HP Deskjet 4200 series”

G) Select “Open”

H) Select “See What's Printing”

I) Select “Printer”

Here you can check:

“Set As Default Printer” OR

“Use Printer Offline” OR 

     “Cancel All Documents”

I have Lexmark pro 910 serties printer and goes to offline constantly. How do I switch it to online
