Touch screen freeze/unresponsive LUMIA 920

So the only known SOLUTION is a new phone?

Anybody tryed downgrading the phone?

If you have already tried the various options of resetting by using different key-press combinations and they have not worked, you can try a full clean re-install of your firmware using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool

This will wipe all data clean off your phone so a backup is recommended, if you haven't already set it up automatically.

If that still does not resolve your problem, you should take your phone to be checked by a Nokia Care facility. As it is only 10 months old, you should be well within the warranty period.

I agree that mobile phones should work all the time and that we buy them to be used. Can you please tell that to my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which has gone for warranty repair for the fourth time in 6 months, each time taking 2-3 weeks to get it back ?

Leaving the phone without a SIM for a few days is NOT a solution.   We buy phones to USE them, and they should work all the time.

My first foray into a smartphone was the lumia 920 (mainly because I liked the Windows OS in preference to IPhone or Android).  My phone is only 10 months old and I now have this screen freeze problem, far too often, and Nokia's suggestion of Power/Volume Down button combo does NOT work.  I have the phone running with the simplest level of settings, with background tasks off, no email coming in, WIFI off, Location off, Internet sharing off, Bluetooth off etc. all to save battery (which barely runs 2.5 days before needing recharge), and only turn something on when I need it.  Even with my phone set up in this minimal way, I get the screen freeze now.   I came to this Nokia support website in hope for some other suggestions - only to find endless pages of screen freeze problems being posted by CUSTOMERS, all experiencing various combinations of problems involving WIFI, cloud, facebook, whatever.  Nokia / Windows should be embarrassed about this problem, as having a touch-response screen is A CRITICAL part of the phone. The problems are on this support site going back more than 2 years (ie long before I bought my phone), and yet Nokia/Windows continues to seel phones with garbage unresponsive screens.   I am going to submit my phone for warranty repair (pain due to the way the service people will wipe the phone).  AND THE NEXT TIME I BUY A PHONE, IT SURE WON'T BE A NOKIA.

Why do you keep buying Nokia Lumia 920 phones if they are so bad?????????????
