All of the varying Power / Volume Down / Camera button combinations are useless. My phone is only 10 months only and is almost totally unresponsive. Highly unimpressed with Nokia.

I have been playing around with my phone last night taking pictures (the low light pictures are amazing)
and when I tried to unlock my phone this morning,
nothing of touch input seems to react,
even the buttons under the screen don't light up and do not respond on touch.
My power, volume and camera button all work.
Already did a few hard resets,
connected my phone to a computer hoping that would spark something
but nothing seems to work.
Anyone any idea what the problem could be and how to fix it

2014-06-16T17:53:17+00:00 I was having this issue on one of my 920s. Thought it was a lost cause until I rebooted it again after a couple months.. The touch screen now works...
So then I tried to set it up using an old backup with my sim inside the phone and then it locked up again. I took out the sim and soft reset it, surprisingly it started working again. So then I decided to hard reset and chose to start fresh without using a backup. Put my sim inside and it didn't become unresponsive!
I have a feeling this is software related and is somehow triggered when you have a working sim inside the phone.. Might be that in conjunction with faulty apps but who knows..
For people facing this issue, take your sim out, Soft reset the phone (Hold Vol Up + Power until vibration) and see if the screen works again. Just a hunch but I think it will work.. If it doesn't then leave the phone off without a sim for a few days and boot it up to see if its working. All these are just hunches that I've made from my own observations so take it with a grain of salt.

2014-06-10T03:31:17+00:00 I had the same problem with my screen frozen and read up all you had said here - tried and tried until I finally decided to take my SIM out and try all the solutions (holding down volume, on/off and camera buttons) and I got to the reset screen - but nothing happened there - just a picture of that wheel but not moving - but then I think I pushed the back button - or maybe the on/off button and everything came back to life! PHEW! Hope this doesn't happen again. Wish I knew what caused it ... so I won't repeat the action. Last thing I'd uploaded was "What's App" - and I had trouble with that on my Nokia E72 ... so maybe I should delete it.
