AMMYY Scam

I got hit with these scammers    they told me they represented Microsoft and were working closely with them...   And foolishly I allowed access to my laptop,..  when It came to me these people were scamming,  I accused them of being thieves, the shut down my laptop.. completely..  but the clowns got not one penny from me... and  with a little diligence, My laptop is up and running..   I would like to chase these clowns down and cut them off at the power cord.........

Have you done a systems check on your computer perhaps with your internet service provider customer helpline.  Because I had this and then found that not only were they contacting me to scam me but somehow they can hitch a ride along your Internet Service Providers broadband line and bounce it off so that say 7 or 8 hackers can be using the same broadband network with your credentials on it.  That's why they ring you because if you have not been on the internet for some time they are not able to re-route their lines and networks so you pay for it.  And its the way they will embedding Trojans and Cascades onto your system and anyone else you come into contact with.

I am angry as Microsoft knows that they are doing this but its a new way of making sure we all upgrade to the "newest version of Microsoft."  Which is a bit disconcerting as I have and always will be a loyal fan of theirs.

I tried using Google but found that there was too many anomalies with them and too many hidden backdoors for hackers to get through.  So I came back to Bing and MSN.  Hope your system check helps. And for  if you can block whatever name it says on the phone from calling you.   Cause that's how they find out whether you are still "Live," or not.

These guys are still at it.  I've had at least a half dozen calls and the caller ID always say Belisle, Ronald.  There was no one on the line until last night when some pakistani/indian sounding guy came  on and went thru the whole speel as previously mentioned.  Meanwhile he keeps talking as I'm googling Ronald Belisle and bring up Linkdin stuff and a couple of obituaries (hope there's more then one Ronald Belisle) the number I keep getting called from is 989-738-5589.  Same number every time.  

Just got off the from with them again.  Mohan said his name was "David"  and he worked for microsoft.  Said "nice try Dick,  your buddy called yesterday.  Asked where he was calling from and he said what sounded like"Joneston, London" in the "UK".  Told him to go call some English people then.  He hung up.

I'm bettin a lot of people fall for these jamokes and get cleaned.
